Nearly two decades in practice, eight years of it running a 24-hour gynecologic emergency center. And still, menopause barely figured in her training. It affects every woman who lives long enough, and most physicians get a lecture or two.
Then it was her turn. Perimenopause arrived with the same symptoms her patients described, and the same thin answers from conventional training. Unhappy with both, she threw herself into menopause medicine (the evidence, the hormone therapy data, the alternatives) and built this practice around it.
